Will Smith wins damages and an apology from news agency WENN.Will Smith has successfully won an apology and libel damages from news agency World Entertainment News Network (WENN) for falsely accusing him of saying that Adolf Hitler was "a good person".
Will Smith's solicitor Rachel Atkins said "the allegation is false and without any foundation". And that the article had been "deeply distressing" to Mr Smith casing him "acute embarrassment".
The solicitor representing WENN apologised for the "misleading allegations".
John Melville-Smith, for WENN said "The defendant accepts that the allegations concerning the claimant were misleading and published in error."
Rachel Atkins also said that in actual fact, the Hollywood actor "believed Hitler to be a vile and heinous man".
