Snipes plays $5m get-out-of-jail card!

Hollywood star and serial tax dodger Wesley Snipes has been jailed for three years for non payment of taxes, despite playing a $5 million 'get-out-of-jail' card.

Despite giving the authorities the run-around for almost a decade, for taxes he insisted he never had to pay, Snipes wrote out, and delivered in court, three cheques for $5 million to the federal government, just hours before sentencing.

They took the money and his liberty for the next three years along with it.

Hollywood bear trainer's grizzly end!

Rocky, the 700lb grizzly bear that recently featured in Will Ferrell's film Semi-Pro has killed its handler.

The bear that had been touted as the "best trained in showbusiness", bit its handler Stephan Miller on the neck.

Although the victim's brother Randy told the Associated Press that the bite occurred during "playful" wrestling behaviour by a "loving, affectionate, friendly, safe bear".
He explained it was "a flash bite and it hit him in a very vulnerable spot".

The singer has become the first British female artist to enter the Billboard 200 at number 1 and is also the first British artist to enter the US charts at number 1 with a debut album!

Her hit "Bleeding Love" from her debut album "Spirit" has been immensely popular on radio, online and as a digital download.

R2D2 in hospital

IMAGE: Actor Kenny Baker inside R2D2Kenny Baker, the actor that was inside R2D2 in all six Star Wars films, was taken ill on his way back from attending film conventions in Chicago.

74 year-old Kenny has a long-standing asthma condition. He suffered problems during his flight home to the UK. Once back in England, he was rushed to a private hospital in Manchester.

The 3ft 8in star is expected to be back at his home in Ashton-On Ribble in a few days.

Sean Penn and wife in divorce U-turn!

It was back in December 2007 that Robin Wright Penn originally filed divorce papers.
Was this just a case of 'break up to make up'?

Charlton Heston dies aged 84

Epic Hollywood actor Charlton Heston died at his family home in Beverly Hills, California on Saturday. No cause of death has been given.
Back in August 2002 Mr Heston revealed that he had been diagnosed with neurological symptoms "consistent with Alzheimer's disease". and was quoted as saying:

"I'm neither giving up nor giving in".

Mr Heston's acting career spanned 60 years. He appeared in over 100 films, such as 'The Ten Commandments', 'Ben-Hur' and 'Planet of the Apes'.

Sean LeVert dies after week in jail!

IMAGE: Sean LeVertAssociated Press reports that R&B singer Sean LeVert has died after a week in jail.

Sean was sentenced just last week to 1 year and 10 months, for non payment of $89,025 child support.
Mr LeVert was just 39 when he died. His brother Gerald LeVert died in 2006 at the age of 40.
The two of them alongside childhood friend, Marc Gordon had formed the R&B group LeVert, that had a big hit with 'Casanova'.

Sean and Gerald were sons of Eddie LeVert, the lead singer of legendary soul group 'The Ojays'.
