The glove, said to have been worn by Michael Jackson in a 1983 television appearance when he first displayed his Moonwalk.
Hoffman Ma, a Hong Kong businessman bought the glove on behalf of a hotel in Macau China. The glove will be sent there to be placed on display.
70 other items belonging to the singer were also in the New York auction.
